The Pro-MAM Biopsy phantom is built for fast image-quality testing on digital stereotactic biopsy mammography units, using test objects modeled on the ACR Mammographic Accreditation Phantom. Its compact size lets the entire phantom be captured in a single exposure, and it works in both upright and prone biopsy systems.
The phantom simulates a 42 mm compressed breast and includes graduated nylon fibrils, aluminum-oxide microcalcification specks, and tumor-like masses to evaluate whether digital images meet or exceed screen-film image quality.
Standards compliance: IEC 61223-3-2, aligned with ACR Mammography Accreditation Program test elements, CE certified. Note: this model is a biopsy-unit QA tool and is not itself submitted for ACR accreditation scoring.
